Apirion was founded by three experienced advisors as a strategy and M&A boutique built entirely around insurance, with the ambition to rethink advisory from the ground up.

Our work begins where decisions start to carry real weight: when insurers make strategic choices that set their direction, investors determine what comes next, or business owners consider the future of what they have built. As a Working Student in Applied AI, you work with our team to turn this ambition into practice. Together, we identify relevant use cases, shape initial solutions and introduce them into our daily work step by step. You experiment, build prototypes, test them with the people who will use them and develop further what proves valuable.

You will not be working from a finished specification. We are looking for someone who brings their own ideas, stays with a problem until it works and enjoys turning an initial thought into a solution that people actually use.

• Identify and prioritise concrete AI use cases for our strategy and M&A work together with the team.
• Translate requirements from our daily work into concepts, prototypes and functioning solutions.
• Develop AI-enabled workflows and connect them with the applications we use every day, including HubSpot, Microsoft 365 and our internal knowledge systems.
• Test new models, tools and automations to understand what genuinely works in practice.
• Gather feedback from the team, improve existing applications and develop successful approaches systematically.
• Bring your own ideas and challenge the way we currently work.

• Current enrolment at a university, ideally in computer science, data science, information systems, engineering or a related discipline. What matters more than your course of study is what you have already explored and built yourself.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI and automation platforms such as Claude, ChatGPT, Langdock or n8n, including building your own workflows or small applications.
• The ability to connect different applications into functioning workflows. Experience with APIs, low-code or no-code platforms, and some Python or JavaScript is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• You do not need to know every tool listed above. What matters is that you learn new technologies quickly and turn their potential into solutions that people actually use.
• A genuine interest in business, strategy and M&A, and the ambition to apply technology where it can make our work meaningfully better.
• A problem-first mindset. You want to build solutions that are not only technically interesting, but make a tangible difference in daily work.
• A responsible approach to sensitive data. You consider the strict data protection, security and compliance requirements of our clients from the outset of every solution.
• The ability to work independently, pragmatically and with structure. When an idea does not work, you want to understand why and try the next approach.
• Fluency in both German and English.

At Apirion, you work directly with the people who will use what you build. Decisions are made quickly, feedback is immediate and an early prototype can become an established part of our work within a short period of time.

You will not join a finished system. Your work will help shape how we use AI, evolve the way we work and build the advisory model of the future. You will have considerable freedom to experiment, together with the responsibility to turn good ideas into solutions that genuinely work in practice.

The role comprises 15 to 20 hours per week and can be based in Munich or performed remotely. Wherever you work, you will be closely involved with the team and in the continued development of Apirion.
