Apirion was founded by three experienced advisors as a strategy and M&A boutique built entirely around insurance, with the ambition to rethink advisory from the ground up.

Our work begins where decisions start to carry real weight: when insurers make strategic choices that set their direction, investors determine what comes next, or business owners consider the future of what they have built. We combine deep insurance expertise with an advisory model designed deliberately from scratch. Our teams are lean and experienced. Partners stay in the work. AI is built into how we operate.

Our internship is for students and recent graduates who want to experience strategy and M&A advisory through real project work, not from a distance. At Apirion, an internship is not built around observation. From day one, you work alongside our experienced team on questions that genuinely matter to our clients.

Our teams are deliberately lean. That means you are not simply present, but an active part of the work. What you research, analyse and prepare feeds directly into our projects. Your contribution is real. So is the responsibility that comes with it.

• Work alongside our experienced team on live strategy and M&A projects.
• Analyse markets, business models and companies across the insurance value chain.
• Research information, put it into context and turn it into robust insights for our projects.
• Support financial analyses and work with the team to develop compelling materials for our clients.
• See at close range how a strategic question becomes a clear recommendation and how a transaction idea develops into a structured M&A process.
• Bring your own perspective and take responsibility for clearly defined parts of the work.

• Current enrolment at a university or a recently completed degree, ideally in economics, business, finance, mathematics, actuarial science, law or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical thinking, the ability to structure complex questions clearly and the curiosity to get up to speed on new topics quickly.
• A genuine interest in business, strategy and M&A, together with the ambition to understand the insurance industry in real depth.
• A careful and reliable approach to your work, and the ability to turn information into a clear conclusion.
• Confidence in working with PowerPoint and Excel. Previous experience in consulting, M&A or insurance is welcome, but not required.
• The ability to work well in a team, contribute your own thinking and respond openly to direct feedback.
• Fluency in both German and English.

An internship at Apirion shows you what strategy and M&A advisory actually looks like: how information becomes a point of view, how decisions are prepared and how a lean, experienced team works together on projects that carry real weight.

You will get to know insurance as a field of genuine expertise and work directly with our advisors and partners. At the end of ten weeks, you will know more than the theory of consulting, M&A and insurance. You will have made a real contribution and gained a sound basis for deciding whether this path is right for you.

Ten weeks in Munich as a genuine part of our team. And perhaps the beginning of something more.
