Dr. Fabian Seul

Fabian Seul is a Partner and co-founder of Apirion, an independent strategy and M&A advisory firm focused exclusively on the insurance industry. He brings more than 25 years of experience advising its leaders across strategy and transactions.

His expertise has been shaped both inside and alongside some of Europe’s largest insurance groups, at group and subsidiary level. It extends across the insurance value chain to distribution, where he advises the owners of insurance brokerages and MGAs on the growth and sale of their businesses.

Before founding Apirion, Fabian was Managing Director for the DACH region at MarshBerry, the insurance brokerage M&A advisory arm of Lincoln International, one of the leading global mid-market investment banks. Together with David Kuprasch-Sras and Fabian Troeppner, he was responsible for establishing and developing MarshBerry’s DACH business.

Earlier in his career, Fabian was a Partner at EY-Parthenon and served as EMEIA Insurance Lead for Strategy and Transactions at EY. In these roles, he advised insurers, insurance brokerages and investors on strategic and transactional questions and built an extensive network across the European insurance market.

Fabian has founded two advisory boutiques focused on insurance and M&A and launched Germany’s first digital MGA. He began his career in investment banking before serving as executive assistant to the CEO of a global insurance group.

Fabian holds a PhD in Finance from RWTH Aachen University and a degree in Business Administration from the University of Bayreuth.
